Girls Who Create started from a simple idea between two friends. After finishing our degrees and spending time travelling, we found ourselves back in Bedford asking the same question: where do you actually meet like-minded people?

We quickly realised a space like the one we were looking for didn't really exist -somewhere relaxed, creative, and easy to walk into on your own. So we thought, why not build it ourselves?

We're living in a time where more and more of our lives happen through screens and online, seeming to have lost the simple joy of being in the same room.

We couldn't think of a better way to bring people together than through art. As adults, finding the time and space to make and maintain friendships isn't always easy, so our evenings are designed to help you step away from the usual routine and create alongside other people. Each week we focus on a different arts & crafts, giving you the chance to try something new, and leave not only with something you've made, but with new connections too.
